I am very disturbed, disappointed and ashamed of my Facebook friends who I know personally because of their silence in the face of this onslaught of nationalist propaganda and the governments intention to use that sentiment as a means to take even more of our rights away. You people lack the courage and conviction to stand for what is right when it is of paramount importance, and I can not knowingly continue to associate myself with cowards, conformists or mindless collectivists who blindly obey authority figures. You are the replication and mirror images of the mindless minions who gave into the pressures of central authorities in Germany, Italy, Russia, and other dictatorial regimes that have caused the deaths and destruction of countless millions of innocent people throughout modern history. Do you not realize how important it is to speak out against this crap? It was a populous idea to conform to Hitlers nationalist propaganda too. Have you never seen the pictures illustrating the masses lined up in concert, showing their obedience and loyalty to the state, praising and saluting their political master? Do you honestly believe that you are any different than any other ultra nationalist who willingly allowed their fellow man, woman or child to be oppressed, imprisoned, condemned or killed in the name of security? Do you not understand the ramifications that result from yielding to every charismatic control freak who holds the highest position of government power? Are you seriously so inept and unthinking that you will allow mysticism, collectivism, and religious ideology to dictate your life and the lives of all the people of the world? Surely you must have even the slighting inclination bouncing around in your cranium that tells you this is wrong. Please, for all that is true and just in this world, do not give in to temptation. Reject this abhorrent ideology. Use the gift of critical thinking, reason and logic to guide your thought processes, not abstract ideology or indoctrinated zeal as the premise to your decisions. The whole of the world....every man, woman or child who makes up the human race depends on your ability to think for yourself, and to do what is right when these situations arise. Will you rise to the occasion and do what is right or will you relent and give in to those who wish to use your passion and ignorance to further their agenda? Liberty, freedom, peace, and prosperity on this planet all depend on your choices from here on out? Choose your stance wisely, the future of humanity depends on it.
