I am very happy that this idiot was finally caught. I am in favor of him being put to death, but not for who he choose to murder but for the premeditated nature of the killing. There can be no special punishment for cop killers, just as there shouldnt be special laws and sentencing for hate crimes, we are either equal or we are not, period. I also found it disturbing that the media kept mentioning that the handcuffs used to restrain him, belonged to the slain police officer Bryon Dickson. This in itself is not so bad, even though it smacks of vengeance and not justice, but why must it be made public. These empty symbolic gestures if meant to bring comfort to those closely involved need to be left with those closely involved. Good job, with this manhunt and capture, two things however must be asked, would this kind of effort been put forth had the victims been civilians, and now that we have this cold blooded killer, will justice really be served?
