I am very new to ME, I am foster Mom to the most AMAZING girl ever! She is perfect in every way except she has ME. Her previous foster/rescuer let her eat and drink at will and was seeing a lot of inverted sneezing and what she thought was vomit. After 4 visits to the vet and a lot of medicines later I got her. She is totally housebroken, listens great except doesnt understand the concept of staying upright after meals. Here are my problems and I seem to have many....after she eats and her 30 upright waiting sometimes she still regurgitates, but its the clear slime, a lot of it. At night if she gets upset about going to bed or rather anytime that she gets worked up she again has the slime. Shes almost always thirsty. I have not yet found the perfect food. Our vet is no help. Hes the second one that we went to and I took her in with my own diagnosis from my own research. Heres our routine, I feed her breakfast which is 1/4 can with added water of whatever canned that I can get when we get up, she gets nutrical and 1/4 of a pepcid in it, then shes upright in an upside down barstool for 30 miniutes. If she gets upset or struggles to get out of it then again the slime. Somethimes some food but mostly slime. We do this 3 to 4 more times a day the same way, but the pepcid is only in the morning. Her last meal is 1 hour before she goes to bed. She is 10lbs and needs to weigh around 12lbs. She gets no treats or chews because I have no idea what/if she can have any. She wears her blow up collar non stop. I did get a lot of regurgitated food when she ate Authority canned. I have managed to get the inverted sneezing to be very minimal with keeping her upright after meals. I have been reading and reading AND reading on this and everything that I see people use I put on a wishlist. Now I need someone to go through it and help me eliminate or add what it needs. After all my reading I feel even more confused than when I began. I need any and all advice that I can get. If Im doing something wrong tell me, you wont hurt my feelings at all!
