I am very pleased to announce that construction of Nimmo Parkway between Holland Road and General Booth has finally been completed and is now accessible. The new project includes 1.7 miles of new roadway, including a 1500-foot bridge over West Neck Creek and adjacent wetlands. Its also includes bicycle and pedestrian friendly, outside travel lanes. As the Vice Chair of Transportation, I am proud have helped approve the funding to see this change for Hampton Roads. I would like to thank VDOT, the City of Virginia Beach and the Department of Public Works for helping make this possible.
