I am way too familiar with suicide. Our nephew, David Dougan, took his life on Christmas eve, 1991. Ive had multiple friends attempt and contemplate suicide. I have been deep in the darkness of depression and realized how people can get to that point. I have a dear friend whose brother, Pat Taylor, took his life a few years ago. Finally, in September of 2014, my high school friend, Shelia Dove Randolph, decided she could not fight her battles with depression, cancer, and the judgement of others, and took her life. I will be joining with thousands of people nationwide this fall to walk in AFSPs Little Rock WalkOut of the Darkness Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause. With PREVENTION AND AWARENESS we can make a difference in the suicide statistics. Thank you for giving, if you can.
