I am white female who was raised to be semi-racist. In other words, treat people the same but never let a black person in your home, dont invite one to a sleep over, and never ever date one. Lastly, youll burn in hell for having a child with a black man. It wasnt until my teenage years that I understood exactly what racism is. I believe none of that now. I routinely invite people of other races, cultures into my home. We have weekend sleep overs. And while I dont have any mixed (parents called them mutts) children, I have plenty of friends that do. Im telling you this because there is a way to end racism. We have to stop Making it an issue. When we stop giving it attention, then we stop fueling an unnecessary fire, a fire thats burned too long for no reason. In the beginning, I welcomed our president into the White House. I no longer wish him there. But it has nothing to do with his race. Its solely because of his presidency that causes me to want him to resign. There is nothing wrong with a black person, or someone of any race, holding office, or any other position. Its those that have this distorted idea branded into their brains by someone who had it branded into theirs that make racism a hot topic. Times are changing. We must change with them. (I dont agree with all changes). Its time to let things go. No more prejudice. Embrace your Race, religion, culture, size. No more bullying. If you dont like something about someone, walk away. There is absolutely no need in ridiculing that person to the point of emotional damage. There is no reason to be cruel. Be a positive human being, not a piece human trash. That is all. #GCConfessions
