I am working on an initiative to address drug abuse, delinquency, and violence among young people in our communities. Working with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, on August 6th I called a meeting with local leaders to discuss a new model approach known as Communities that Care (CTC). CTC assesses risk factors in communities and organizes schools, community organizations, and others in a collaborative effort to stop negative behavior before it starts.
