I am writing this here as a general lover of all things music. Not as a a presenter at the Me & Thee Coffeehouse. I just returned from four days of love, peace, hope and much music at the annual NERFA conference. Imagine a hotel in the Catskills filled to the brim with musicians, presenters, DJs, agents, publicists, and .... so much music that you couldnt possibly take it all in. Just a word and a suggestion to any of you who may check in here every now and again: take a moment and remember how important live music is to YOU and how good you feel when you attend a performance. Think about how the music touched you and remember the heartfelt appreciation from the musician on stage who often thanks you for taking time out of your busy life to sit and listen and to be PRESENT in the world and to help them bring that joy and music to others down the road. These musicians often travel long distances to come to our stage or any other stage across the country. They love what they do. We love what they do. They do not have big industry money behind them. They hop in their car or their van and truck to their next gig. Its so very important to keep them on the road and its very important to carve some time out to come to places like the me&thee to support them. Dig deep for your music. You and I know that you dont need to go to large venues to experience quality music. Its right here. Thanks....and keep on loving our venue. We truly appreciate every single person who walks through our door.
