I am writing to and for all peoples who have and will be working in the rewilding processes. For your discernment I will be quoting and highly recommend thorough study of Seda Joseph Saines essay Towards a Philosophy of Rewilding Psychology. I would also recommend my journals in my Facebook notes and for God’s sake, read a Bible. For those of you that are not aware, I have been highly involved with many others in the rewilding processes for at least five years now. I have been on four walkabouts which are around 40 days in the wilderness on mostly wild gathered foods. I have acquired horses so that I may live semi-nomadically and have been doing so for the last two years. I am and will continue to be out there doing this work regardless of whatever interpersonal dramas and obstacles come up. There has been and continues to be many of these dramas and obstacles and they are part of my inspiration to share with you. I have made a lot of mistakes and I am willing to take full responsibility for them. Though I do not agree with many of the methods that have been applied, I would like to thank all who I have worked with for empowering me with a butt-load of knowledge to discern and thus avoid and/or not enable aggressive and submissive control patterns in myself and others. I believe that this work is essential to the growth of any community by all participating members. It takes honest and mature conversation where all people involved are free to speak their mind in turn until some sort of resolve or compromise is reached for whatever issue is at hand. This is often very challenging to find reasonable time and energy for. If it is not done peoples control dramas continue to play and problems just get bigger and bigger... Stay in the truth! Do not bear false witness. I too would urge you to note those who cause division and offenses, and avoid them. My intention is to learn, practice and teach symbiotic, life-giving ways to find that redemption of human kind that our earth cries out for. I am seeking people of like-mind to build community with so that we may more truly live by having each other in truth and beauty. I have secured a winter camp and my doors are open to all who show effort to improve their ability and behavior to carry their own weight. It takes deliberate intention to grow up. It is true that through unrighteousness, righteousness can and will prevail. From the piles of manure we have been handed, I choose to grow roses. This last Spring and early Summer have been some of the best times of my life. I was blessed to have travel companions that have held themselves accountable to the truth by carrying their physical and emotional weight. We shared what little we had all worked so hard for in righteous communication and in doing this, for a short time we had each other and experienced truly living. We embraced what little such there was and worked with what we had. We felt like we were winning everywhere we went, so we started calling ourselves Winner Camp. Winning is our tradition and I plan on carrying this tradition for a righteously long time. To the best of my knowledge and ability I will not build my house upon a faulty foundation and I will not roll over for my abusers. I want to live. Peace from the Hoop! Colin Heeren
