I am writing to express my contempt with a fear ridden understanding of the end-times. There are many who are telling us that many believers risk being left behind when the Great Tribulation comes. Let me be blatantly blunt. Read the scriptures for yourself. 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the same things those churches suffered from the Jews, 15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men 16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last. No. 1. The wrath is something that already imminent. Paul says its coming AT LAST! That means the wrath had come and has gone. No. 2. Its not on believers. Its on THEM. Its on the fellow Jews who killed Jesus and now opposing the apostles of preaching to the Gentiles. NOTE. Own countrymen. No. 3. Gods tolerance was already up to limit. THEN. Not now. Their sins were already to the limit THEN. Not now. It does not refer to the future of our time but the future of their time. It was referring to AD70. Frightening people to the kingdom is the worst thing you can do for God. It presents God as tyrant.
