Dear Mike, I am a writer-director from Llanmaes who attended Atlantic College 97-99 before graduating from the International Film School Wales in 2003. I now live and work in London as a script consultant for a number of production companies such as Universal and StudioCanal. I am producing an independent short film called The Masterful Hermit and, because of my strong roots in South Wales, my cast and crew are descending on the Vale at the end of March to shoot the entire film there. A number of Vale businesses have been kind enough to let us film at their locations and on Wednesday March 26th well be filming a party scene in the restaurant of the Bear Hotel. The film stars Emilia Fox (Silent Witness), Maryam dAbo (007s The Living Daylights) and Clive Francis (A Clockwork Orange) and is being shot by Emmy award-winning Director of Photography Chris Openshaw. This party scene will be a leaving party for Emilia Foxs character by her colleagues. The reason I wanted to get in touch is because I need some extras for the scene who might be interested in appearing as party guests? I need a room full of people (approx 20-25 in total) to stand and chat, sip water from wine glasses and pick at canapies. I would need people for the majority of the day (approx 9.30am - 5pm) so appreciate that people may find it hard to commit, but if any of your choir members wanted to take part, please ask them to contact me directly. I will need to confirm a definite list of names as I have to be sure I have enough people on the day. Lunch will be provided.
