I appreciate all of the engagement on the unpaid intern post but dang, some of you are ruthless. Just to clarify, we have every intention to hire our interns. Due to the fact that we are in a very niche field and do a ton of training related to internet marketing as opposed to sticking them at a desk to cold call and do mindless work. As a first time intern we do prefer to understand their work ethic, passion and ability to learn quickly before we determine if they will be paid or the trade off is the student gaining school credit (which many companies do and schools encourage). We offer those interested, a second term as a paid intern, part-time, or full-time depending on the individual and company needs. I do believe in the saying you get what you pay for however, running a business isnt cheap, and wasting time, energy and money working with people who just want a paycheck and have a lack of motivation/ambition isnt my idea of a good business decision. Thank you to those of you who direct messaged me with leads and support despite the negativity. I am very much looking forward to moving into our new office space in Plaza Midwood later this month and hope to offer more jobs to folks in my neighborhood.
