I approve of your sense of realism; your level-headedness on real issues. Thinking aloud; I could observe that you have a subjective knowledge on Sanctification. But going beyond knowledge, it results from personal voraciousness and individual insatiability on Spiritual things — it matters. Sometime ago, I tell people that if I am actually Sanctified, then I’m not Satisfied. Once you have encountered Christ at the point of true repentance, your daily experience becomes “As the hart panteth after the water brooks.. Ps.42:1a”.. With each step you take towards Him, your invocation becomes “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” And when you’re being confronted by your past, your earnest and heartfelt assertion becomes “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do,] forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” From the point of salvation, .. the Virtues encountered in Spiritual growth and development becomes inexhaustible… and the more you get, the more you still wish and need to have. With just Salvation; you think twice most often before you sin.. though still with a tendency of falling, offending frequently or at any time, you try to consult your conscience, you try to find reason why you shouldn’t.. those thoughts, habits, attitudes, imaginations and even those inherently deposited passions could still be tempting if not prevalent and because you know that they are consequential, you struggle to hold fort. You will have a lot of internal questions bordering you…”can I?” and these questions can only be answered at the feet of Christ.. here is the Word of Christ to Martha ..”But one thing is needful; and Mary has chosen that good part, which cannot be taken away from her” Sanctification is not received on proxy.. you must have left where you were, where you belong.. there must be a clear separation. The eye that makes you to offend; you must have plucked it out, the legs and hands that makes you to offend; you must have cut them off.. this is a clear severance from those things that easily besets you to sin or to offend; it can be friends, fashion, companions, pleasure and passions.. whatever it is,.. it should be clear that self no longer controls you., flesh no longer governs and regulates the sphere of your livelihood. Friends, environment, religion, and trend are no longer in hegemony with your choice, opinion and visions in Life.. On this point, you will come to a level of experience on the bases of a developed relationship with Christ where Revelation through His Word—Scripture will bring to you an understanding with a clear vision of your unworthiness, imperfection, how feeble the human nature is.. you will begin to understand how terrible sin is, how filthy and desecrating…, you will see the beauty of Holiness, certain Mysteries will be revealed to you…-- the Magnificence, Excellency, Supremacy, how Glorious the Heavenly is, … you cant help but find yourself where you belong.. Dear, nobody will PUSH you at this point. You lose you limps… no matter how Christian you think you are, you will now find how low, woe and unclean you are. You will want to go higher, but no way.. here, that adamic nature will be clearly exposed,..it limitations. Most saints of old experienced this. The level of contriteness of Heart will be so high that you will cry out in viscous and arduous voice “woe is me… how come I don’t belong here.. Lord take me higher.. Sanctify Me” My own experience on this was so terrific… mine was not during church service.. it was a clear vision of the night after a midnight Prayer,..just laying my head to sleep, I was caught up in a vision that made Me ran out by 4am, running to nowhere until I found Myself in an open field.. crying.. “Lord.. what can I do..?” even the people that saw Me afterward,.. particularly someone who didn’t even stay around me (actually nobody knew what happened to me, even people around during the night) called Me Lion.. you have really fought, your face look as someone who have won a battle.. It was Mysterious. With this PRESS and PUSH,.. you will find yourself PURGED… hence forth your communion with GOD takes a new dimension...“and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:” “Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are SANCTIFIED through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all. ] --Hebrew10:9-10” The desire for sin will be clearly uprooted from your heart as a tree is uprooted from its root.. the first nature will give way for the NEW. Salvation is like drawing one out from a deep mire or dirty well… while Sanctification is like making him to vomit all the filthy things he swallowed. There will be no Sanctification if there is no Salvation. There will be no Sanctification if there is no Separation. There will be no Sanctification if there is no Scriptural and Spiritual Revelation and Enlightenment. There will be no Sanctification if there is no Supplication. I will expound on it more when I have time.
