I ask myself; Why? Wondering; How have the situational nuances - TopicsExpress

I ask myself; Why? Wondering; How have the situational nuances placed me upon a sapphire? The spiritual uplifting in meditation has revealed a clear path. The view of the forrest through the trees melds a constant destination. The vision is worthy of engaging in the journey above the thermocline. The edelweiss on my lapel is pure white as my desires. Upon traveling the first night, the sound of a fair peasants girl cries leads me astray. The confusion is unsettling. The knowledge of my destine path is not the confusion. Weighing the balance of the importance of my presence is the question. Why answer the cry? It is my obligation to answer my curiosity and access the land. A youthful lady lay on the ground. She appears holding her stomach and crying in pain. I appeared to her as a lonely knight. Surely appearing to her as a savior. Her eyes were glassed over with tears. She folded her hands together and looked upon the knight in fear; Please help. The lonely knight in shining armor would answer her prayer. Her hair blended into the dark black foreground. The sight of her tears falling, sparkled like a star before crashing into the ground. Her pale skin, was softer than it appeared as I took her hand extended hand. Her soft brown eyes told the story of her soul. It was a sad story. It was much different from the stories of aristocracy. The two revealed their deepest scars. The peasant girl told the story of her lost family. The knight revealed the past that sent him to climb the mountain. The lonely knight lit a fire and removed a blanket from his saddle bag. I do not believe things happen by chance. Said the lonely knight. If that is truly what you believe? Why have our paths crossed? Perhaps, because you would have frozen. The lonely knight replies. Yes. I am starving. Will you rescue me? The lonely knight placed a loaf of bread in the peasant girls hand. Thank you! You truly are a knight in shining armor! Take this canteen to drink. It is full of water. This flask is full of rye. It was not long before the peasant girl was full. The peasant girl curled the knights blanket around her lean body. The lonely knight looked upon the girl as she sipped the flask. Why were you crying? asked the lonely knight. I have no one to love. I am alone in the forest with no way out. I have no family. I am also alone in the forest. Do you have a wife? I am with out a wife. You have beautiful eyes. There must be a lady who adores you knight. She is looking upon me as we speak. Would a knight ever make a peasant girl his wife? The knight gazed into the fire. A knight may choose to marry anyone he desires. I am without husband. The peasant girl smiles. Is your heart occupied by your nobility? There is no such arrangement. I will love you knight. If you will have me in your arms tonight you may keep me forever. There are few I fancy. What of them? What of me? They pierce my eyes like arrows while remaining out of reach. Hold me. I am cold. The knight smiles and extends his hand. Your hand is cold. Cold hands, warm heart. Warm my heart with your love my knight. Take me from the forrest. The knight looks deeply into the peasant girls eyes; I will return shortly. Where will you go? I need to tend to my horse before I rest tonight. The peasant girl smiles; Return to me when you have finished. The knight pets his horse and removes a feather from the saddle bag. I have carried this feather for years. The lonely knight runs his fingers over the feather. It would pain me to go without this feather. This feather carries the story of the love I desire. The lady does not know the story of the feather. I question if she would care to praise me upon my return to the town. If my lapel was full of edelweiss would she accept my noble courtship? The knight returns to the peasant girl and finds she has fallen asleep. The lonely knight looks upon her and whispers into her ear. I will dream tonight. I will ask for a vision to reveal my love. The lonely knight places a pillow under the peasant girls head. If I do not dream of the story of the feather in my sleep tonight. You will be my lady. You will no longer be a peasant. If I dream of the feather. I will carry you with me and take you to the town. I will find a family for you to call your own. Sweet dreams fair lady. The lonely knight lays down to sleep beside the fire. #ctsutter #poet #secret #poetsecret
