I asked for a copy of my surgical report and its quite a fascinating read. There were a few words I had to google but boiled down into laymans terms- they did a shit-ton of work! My pelvic region was completely covered by adhesions and they sectioned a mass that weighed approximately 8 pounds. My ureter (tube connecting bladder to kidney) was buried into my pelvic side wall and required laser- guided separation. My colon was obscured by adhesions. My ovary was wrapped around 2 of my ribs and was removed, along with a hemmoragic corpus luteal cyst, with a section of Fallopian tube that was diseased with pelvic inflammatory disease. all of the surgery was performed by Da Vinci robot technique. And the part that upsets me the most is that they didnt even touch the vowel or bladder which still have endo on them. Im going to be requesting a copy of my hysterectomy surgical report and sending them to a specialist for evaluation, who is located in New Jersey, as there are no specialists here in New York. I may need to fight my insurance for coverage as it is out-of-network, and the travel/lodging costs worry me alot. One of my girlfriends suggested holding a benefit to raise money, but Im unsure about that. Just when I thought that this surgery would be the last- Im faced with all of these realities. Please pray for Gods guidance and mercy as I advocate for my health. Thank you!
