I asked my team to share why they walk. This is my friend Kim Pusl. If you would have asked me a couple years ago, I would not have had much of a reason to walk in the Avon Walk, except, maybe, because my friends walked. I didnt know anyone with breast cancer, and I never thought it would happen to me! Now, I have a lot of reasons for walking! I am a breast cancer Survivor. Ive been out of treatment for almost a year now. Recently, I had a total hysterectomy, after which they found cancer in one of my ovaries. So I guess that makes me a 2x cancer Survivor! I have some new, close friends Ive met throughout this journey... some whom are also Survivors. I walk for them, too. I walk for those that lost the battle... I walk to help win the war! I walk to influence those around me to check their boobies! I walk to show those who think a cancer diagnosis is a death sentence, that it is not! Its a greater reason to LIVE! I WALK BECAUSE I CAN!!
