,,,I asked the nurses to call me when it was close to her end...They did, I went..I didnt want her to be alone... Her eyes were open,her breathing was shallow and soft..I held her hand.I stroked her hair....I said the lords prayer and sang to her softly. I said a prayer asking to please take her home ..She was ready,,,she wasnt afraid because she had told me so.. I pulled her hand close to my heart, closed my eyes and listened,comforted her and said goodbye... I opened my eyes and watched her drift away..Her last breath was as gentle as a butterfly flying away,,,it was only her and I and it was something that will never leave my heart..She was so peaceful and quiet...No more pain...She let me have those moments with her...I am blessed to have been there...tonight I feel very quiet and sad but thats for myself not her......I left my family tonight and went to my room...Just to think about her and remember our last time...I am glad to have been able to help her through the door.............
