I attended the 100th anniversary mass of Immaculate Conception - TopicsExpress

I attended the 100th anniversary mass of Immaculate Conception Parish this afternoon. It was done very well and Im so glad that I went. The mass was done mostly in English and some parts in Spanish. Cardinal George was not there, due to health issues, but Bishop Rosales(?) filled in and did a wonderful job. Many other priests were also present including Father Peter Parazas, Father Tom Kasputis ,Father Ken Stachura(who I graduated with in 1964) and Deacon Joe Panek(who Im proud to call a personal friend of mine and my family). Tom Coye was there as well. A hand full of St. Casimir nuns were there including Sister Margaret, Sister June, Sister Salvatore and others that I didnt recognize. There were 4 hispanic gentlemen in front of the church, to the left of the altar, who played stringed instruments and sang. They were excellent. Choir was good and the church was packed. All in all it was real nice . Afterwards they served food outdoors. They put up tents and plenty of seats for all to enjoy the food. They also acknowledged the first 4 pastors of I.Cs who totaled 86 years. That was a nice touch. With the grace of God, the Parish will live on for many more years.
