I attended the BKM AGM last night and it was very well managed. James Selfe, the Shadow Minister of Correctional Services gave a very informative talk on the state of prisons in South Africa and Lyn, a local resident and member of BKM, shared a traumatic experience of having home invaders smashing through her glass doors and entering her home in the early hours of the morning after attacking one of her large dogs in the garden with a sledge hammer. The fact that she had pressed her panic button and the siren was sounding, did not distract them from trying to get to her. Fortunately she survived to share her story!
