I attended the most emotional, however somewhat uplifting football game tonight at Woodlawn High School!!! My nephews both play on the team so I do my best to be all of them!! As everyone knows their teammate was killed in a car accident this week, first off all the kids went down for the spirit line, then they released balloons, them instead of the team running through the tunnel and sign, the sign was on the side with the spirit line and the team WALKED out of the tunnel, 1 player was leading with Drews Helmet, then the rest of the team came out and they were in sets of three, went to the middle of the field and all knelt around the helmet said a prayer and then the game started, at half time the band from Hampton did their performance then as a special tribute to Drew and to show their respect for the family and his teammates they played Amazing Grace!!! What an awesome thing to do!!!! Drews mom was at the game also and after the game went out on the field and talked to the entire team and the cheerleaders, with Bro. Doney Blackerby by her side. I have never seen a school and community come together like this!!!! So happy Tony, Shawn, and the kids are part of this community!!! Please keep them all in your prayers, as they go through visitation tomorrow night and then the funeral in Sunday afternoon! But most especially pray for Drews momma!!!!!!!!!!! Also please pray for the girl that was with him!!! I just in awe over all of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bears did win this game 30 to 6 for Drew!!!!
