I became aware of Peyton thru Mary Harper. Mary painted a pair of tennis shoes for Peyton, and she and her daughter delivered them to Peyton, who is in a hospital in Atlanta. Mary posted photos... and something about the little princess in pink shoes captured my heart. So I contacted Peytons mom, Shannon Parker Greene and realized quickly... she is surely a very strong lady; raising an amazingly strong little girl. All day today, Peyton has been in my prayers. And before that. She was on my mind as I baked the cake and roasted the turkey. And before that, while I puttered around, waiting on my two favorite little ones to arrive from Florida. Perhaps because of them, my great-nephew and niece, Peyton is heavy on my heart. I thought of her when I looked at them..., when Carter talked about school and soccer. So I said silent prayers of thankfulness and asked God to heal her, too. Please pray for Peyton...and all the other children battling cancer. I have no doubt, these little warrior princes and princesses, are much stronger than I, but it sure would be nice if they no longer had a battle before them. youtu.be/wlBWLPFoOWU
