I believe I have taken full advantage of todays weather and free time. I started the morning with Muttley and Godfrey in East Harbor. They knew, as soon as they spied the water from the car, that they were going swimming and hardly could contain their excitement... The water was warm enough and, because they are dogs, they didnt experience the disappointment I felt to find that the once tall, lush and beautiful Cat-o-nine tails were so sparse we didnt have half the privacy they used to afford us. Also it was like a watery graveyard for horseshoe crabs. Heartbreaking. I just dont get it . But its always different from year to year. I never know what to expect. The dogs, at least, were happy although we didnt stay long.They came home and crashed but I gathered up my gear and spent the next 4 hours at New Beach (Herring Cove) relaxing, Manfred Style. There were no herrings or weddings. But, my good friend and ex (Marine Specialties) co-worker, Margot and her dog Sunny, joined me and we had an awesome afternoon catching up and PRACTICING how to keep still. (mouths not included) ;)
