I believe that for the animal rights movement to be successful, we need to follow the example set by Martin Luther King. If Martin Luther King had advocated arson or vandalism, racial segregation would still be around today. Any activist in any social movement who engages in such tactics only hurts their own cause, as this results in their movement loosing the moral high ground. And in the case of the animal rights movement, not only are acts of vandalism against animal abusers counterproductive to helping animals, acts of vandalism against animal abusers are also illogical, considering who the true animal abusers actually are. It is all our friends and family, and anyone who eats meat. The people in the video are only doing what everyone is hiring them to do on their behalf. The number of animals that are bred and slaughtered depends directly on consumer demand for animal products. For every person who continues to eat meat, this consumer demand goes up, and hundreds of additional animals are tortured and killed. On the other hand, for every person who goes vegan, hundreds of animals are saved from having to go through the conditions shown in the video on my page. That is why I am trying to share this information with everyone. I constantly get messages from new people who say that they are now never eating meat again, and going vegan, due to the information in the video. And each of these people represents hundreds of animals saved from a lifetime of torture. And this, I believe, is the way to resolve this problem. To change ourselves, to share this information with everyone, and to try to change others. The stuff in the video wouldnt be happening if people werent supporting it financially. This is why we can not react with vandalism against the people responsible, since the people responsible includes all of our closest friends and relatives, since they are all, in effect, just paying others to do the dirty work for them. ar.vegnews.org/nutrition_2.html
