I believe this is the second time I have shared a news story that seems to indicate that guns were used appropriately by private citizens to defend an innocent person. The first one was a story of someone who went to his bedroom and grabbed the .22 pistol he kept for emergencies and used it to defend himself and kill the people who were about to murder him. In this case, the guns were apparently not used spontaneously. In any case, its good to see a case where guns in the hands of private citizens do apparent good. If the facts as reported in the story are true, and if the prof is correct that the killers will not face charges, that seems a good thing to me...
