I bet you have never even heard the story of the young man who was - TopicsExpress

I bet you have never even heard the story of the young man who was murdered. If you have, I would bet more that you can’t remember his name. While the nation has been inundated with news coverage of the “Zimmerman” trial wherein it is postulated by some that racial motivations may or may not have played a part in the death of young man over a year ago, the media has, by and large, totally ignored the beating and subsequent death of an innocent white man by a gang of blacks on June 30th of this year. This horrific crime happened right here in Georgia and I would bet that you have not even heard about it. It appears that 36-year-old Joshua Heath Chellew, was set upon and beaten mercilessly by at least 4 gang members in Cobb County Georgia during the early morning hours of June 30th. While attempting to escape the beating, Chellew apparently backed into a street where he was knocked to the asphalt by his assailants and was subsequently run over by an oncoming vehicle. Was this terrible beating and murder racially motivated? I cannot say one way or another with absolute surety. I can however say that the gang members beat the young man mercilessly and with obvious malicious intent. I can also say that the victim was white and the multiple assailants/murderers were black. I can also say with a high level of confidence that, by and large, the media has looked over this horrific crime for some unknown reason. What is that reason? Is it that no gun was involved? Is it possibly that this type of behavior is expected from the perpetrators and is therefore not “newsworthy”? Could it even possibly be that the race of the victim immediately renders it uninteresting to the public because he or his kind have committed some type of unforgivable offense, either recently or in the distant past, and can therefore be labeled as “a reckoning”? Can it possibly be that bringing this story to light may result in accusations of racism or bigotry? Maybe, the media is just a tool of power elites who wish to shape “public opinion” and, therefore, is used to filter out any information that would taint the worldview those elites wish to present. I do not know for sure the answer to the question regarding the media’s silence on this story. I have my suspicions. Whatever the reason is ultimately, if ever, found to be, I implore you gentle reader to ask that question to yourself and then spend some time considering the possible answer.
