I bought a Dyson DC 50 and cannot believe what a terrible job it does. It is not even a year old and it does not pick up even something like a small dead flower head. I have contacted customer services and have spent ages taking the thing to pieces and putting back together it just has no real suction to it and yes I clean out the filter. It is supposed to pick up from any floor service well I can assure you it is the worst money I have spent and if it had not been so expensive would have replaced it with another make.
