I by no stretch of the imagination am a gamer, however Ive been putting some thought into maybe getting a game system and tv at some point in the future. I was always a Sony fan and didnt really care for Xbox even though I owned the first Xbox in the past. I have been considering the PS4 however I absolutely do not like the fact that it is not backwards compatible with the previous consoles, and this alone will prevent me from wanting to own one. I had the PS1 and PS2 and loved them and I fell out of the gaming scene after that and had no interest in the PS3 line or any of the games. If Sony does allow backwards compatibility as this video suggests they will, then it could be enough to encourage me to get one, since I can also use it for Netflix and as long as I can play movies through it from a flash drive. Share play is another cool feature I think is a great idea. So maybe I will get one if they allow backwards compatibility, and if not, then I will continue my wait until the days of virtual reality gaming which is inevitably on its way.
