I can give everyone an update now. I thought I had the flu last week. I miss school on Tuesday. and had an appointment with the doctor on call Wed. afternoon. My doctor was out of town. She was very concerned about the pain in my right side. I had a lot of lab work done. The flu test came back negative, along the test for mono. My liver functions were fine but my white count was 13,000. She wanted me back Thursday morning for an ultrasound. On her orders were 2 notes. The first saying urgent get me an oral report at once and the second said dont let the patient escape until I talk to her. The tech finished the ultrasound and said your gallbladder is not happy. The doctors nurse came and got me and said they needed more blood. My white count was up to 14,000 that morning.So I gave them some more. The doctor told me I was being admitted and would be having gall bladder surgery. My doctor was back and he stepped in and said this is where you need to be. It was decided I would go to Scottsbluff for the surgery. They did it on Friday morning. It started out normally but they could not finish it that way. They used a laparscope to cut the gall bladder away from the liver and removed all the stones but 1 that way. The remaining stone had to be taken out through a 4 inch incision. It was the size of a golf ball. That incision is what hurts. You use your stomach muscles all the time to move your body and have a 4 inch makes movement very painful. Im going to go lay down for a while. When I get up next I will post more.
