I can honestly and truthfully state, without hesitation, that college is not high school! I realized I love college when I was sitting down reading my book and just taking the time to soak everything in! I almost have my first week down and Im already stressed and overwhelmed! How ever I do know that I am here to start my future. WAIT! Thats exactly it! STARTING MY FUTURE. In high school, all the guidance counselors and teachers try to help you plan for your future in 5+ years: where do you want to go, what path will you lead, what things will you be doing, where do you see yourself? I hated these questions because in all honesty, I had no idea! I cared more about what I wanted to wear the next day and blew them off thinking Ill figure it out later. But sitting down and watching the bird fly away from this cute fountain, made me realize that in 5 years I will have taken courses that lead me to my job! I will be doing things such as moving out, possibly away, traveling the world, Working in my career field and not the retail jobs I so loathed, and I realized that I am now starting my real future planning. Its quite exhilarating and intimidating at the same time. I see that I am growing up and now I must carry through this path. (I thought I should let friends and family know ;)
