I can not hide my deep rooted fears - India is being pushed towards the precipice where lies the greatest danger of falling down into "the morass of religious and regional fundamentalism". Can politicians, media and Indian citizens stop identifying themselves narrowly through their cast, religion or region? With mere a month left for our Independence day, we should strive to liberate ourselves from the narrow minded approach that bars us from realizing "India as one country". We as citizens should not talk in terms of "they" and "us"- The same mistake that we committed some 60 years back and on many occasions after Independence. This bacchanalian madness will lead us to "the land of chimerical happiness and nadir of misery."
