I can say that I am beat....but I am at the same time, more pumped than ever as we get closer to elections. I want to represent the student body with ACTION not words. I am blessed to have been the CA President for Santa Ana Hall at UNM and then later a Community Assistant, Senior Community Assistant and eventually Resident Director at Casas Del Rio and at Lobo Village. These community building skill sets make me passionate for our great University. UNM has many traditions Id like to build on, many assets Id like to refocus on and a diverse student body that deserves to be represented fairly! I am proud to run with people who share my passion for action. Who have demonstrated these qualities but dedicating their time, to represent the student body. Today we participated in Army ROTC training and PT to better understand and appreciate the benefits and challenges of this program. I will be participating with the Navy later this week, in hopes of further broadening my understanding. Furthermore Id like to bring, to UNM, my skill set in Residence Life and Student Housing, in order to build and better our community, tangibly (through initiatives that Ive started such as Humans 4 UNM) promote and increase our school spirit, and be able to walk in 2015, look back and say, Yes, I was a part of that, yes I moved UNM #Forward - With that Id like to say again, Im happy to be running on the Forward UNM Slate for the position of Senator in the Associated Students of the University of New Mexico. My peers are Presidential Candidate (and current ASUNM President) Isaac Romero, Vice Presidential Candidate Zeke Chavez and Senate candidates: Katherine Luce, Stephanie Gomez, Mack Follingstad, Eric Valdez, James L Walker, Brianna Ireland, Gabi Eldredge, Wesley Seaton and Amanda Rodriguez! PLEASE VOTE: April 3rd (Early Voting) April 9th (Election Day)
