I can say that just about all of my personal pets have been rescues. Many were owner give ups that ended up in a kill shelter. I can also say I was very happy they were given up because I know their lives with me and my wife could not be any better. We get tons of Courtesy Post requests to share animals that could easily end up in a kill shelter for one reason or another. Stuff happens, situations change, people lose their jobs, people lose their homes, etc. Its not a perfect world. It would be nice if people would simply share Courtesy Posts and not tear into the owners. Negativity does not work. Sharing does. Some people have asked us to remove posts because of the negativity.That certainly does not help the animals in need. I imagine most people giving up animals are not happy about it and it must be one of the most difficult decisions they have ever made. Please try to be nice.
