I can think of nothing more grotesque and derisive of the lifetime struggle of several teachers in this nation who retire with very little benefits from the government. These are teachers who have taught not less than thirty- five or more years, grooming the future leaders of this nation!!! And all that, the government could only do is to pay these men nothing more than ten thousand Ghana cedis, as go home pension pay!!! Thats heartbreaking to say the least. I personally do encourage teachers to be creative and not rely on the state for their financial worries. But its insulting not to give honour to those that honour is due!!! Students failure in examinations should not bother the government, since the welfare of teachers doesnt matter to the state.
