I cannot believe all the rescuers and fosters I am meeting who refuse to put ID on pets necks!! When they are gone they are really gone- Dont we see enough pets lost daily on these groups that would seem to wake you up!! Oh and for you who say this- My dogs never leave my side- or my cats never go out they are indoor cats- Hmm,OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell that to the lost babies out there and the ones in the pound on dead now on the side of the road- I met so many people in the last 3 months that do not want to keep id on necks- ok that is your choice- doesnt mean you are bad owners just means you are playing a craps shoot- or gambling with furbabies- PS- a micro chip is NOT full proof- If a lady or man finds your pet and they are in wheelchair lets just say- or doesnt have a car- and car barely get groceries what makes you think they can find someone to transport your dog to the Vet to see if it is chipped- so they may keep your pet - or rehome it free to someone else!! and mirco chips dont always read if someone doesnt use a universal scanner- and or if the chip is lodged under shoulder they shift!
