***I cant afford to eat healthily. Really? Lets take this apart and assess. Firstly afford- is this purely monetarily? If so, is this long-term cost or short-term cost? The weekly trolley of chicken, fish, eggs, fresh fruit etc MAY cost more money at the check-out than white bread, biscuits and tinned spaghetti hoops. However the long-term the consequences of a diet high in refined carbohydrates and lacking protein/vitamins/minerals are likely to cost you more. Not only will a poor diet invariably lead to the earlier onset of disease forcing an early retirement/dependency on the NHS/tax payer but it will also likely mean that you go through life and never experience the full extent of what your body can do. Eating crap food makes you feel cr@p- short-term and long-term and this costs on many levels! Lethargy and low energy levels will mean less productivity at school, university and work- the cost of not fulfilling potential in these areas could cost you much more. Inability to focus in class at school, or push for a promotion at work, could make a serious difference to your work income for the rest of your life. Saving money at the check-out only to spend it later(and then some) on energy drinks, sugary snacks, fags, etc because you need a pick me up is a false economy. Added to which what price can you put on feeling energetic, well-fueled and healthy? Next time youre making choices regarding your food intake keep in mind that, after air and water, it is the most potent way to influence the way you look, feel and perform. Can you afford not to eat healthily? >If youd like ideas on how to eat healthily whilst sticking to a budget- just ask next time youre here. Progress Gym has many items you can buy in bulk format to save you money- chicken, eggs, oats, nut butters are just some available here. >Oh Yeah protein bars have been re-stocked.
