I cant believe it has been 15 years almost to the day that Grandpa passed away. He was an amazing person and married the most amazing woman! I still miss him everyday and think of him each day when I look at my little boy who is named after him. Last year on my Elk hunt while riding in those Wyoming mountains I know he was there but I sure wish he could have been there riding right beside me. I am lucky I had him as hero and someone to look up to. I sure wish my kids could have met him. I am pretty sure he would have loved them. They love horses just as much as he did. He always had a smile and treated everybody the same no matter what walk of life they came from. My memories are pretty vivid... These are just a few: His cowboy hat was never to far from him... He loved horses and liked those that were a little rank... He was always the the first one up on the elk or deer hunt with a campfire built and a pot of coffee going, I remember many times looking out of the tent and seeing him just like in the picture posted... He loved the ranch and rounding up the cattle in the fall... I remember the wild rides in the back of his pickup and him letting me drive his truck to Eureka while on his lap... I remember lighting matches off his whiskers and the way he rolled Prince Albert... He wasnt afraid of anyone or anything. He was a tough cowboy! He loved my Grandma so much. I hope we all remember the special people in our lives and take time to enjoy them. I am lucky to have had the time I had with him. He was pretty special to me and I wanted others to see and remember this special man. Love you Grandpa!
