I cant believe its August already but Im ready for another GRATITUDE FRIDAY post! Today Im grateful for the simple act of waking up, feeling filled with goodness, free from depression, devoid of sadness, knowing that the God of my understanding is ready, willing and able to work some miracles today. As I sit on my back porch, its dark and still and Im grateful for others having taught me how to pray and meditate - this simple morning ritual has been life changing. Im filled with gratitude that I understand today that there is nothing I can truly take credit for other than my own behavior. It is only by Gods grace that I have a life filled with fascination, excitement, and love. I have been gifted a wonderful family, and Ive been blessed with pretty good genetics and a great environment. My world has has a support group of caring friends and I am blessed with abilities that allow me to earn a decent living. I am grateful to understand that many arent so fortunate and that I have a responsibility to reach out and do my best to be helpful, not hurtful, to my fellow man. I am filled with gratitude that today I can accept lifes defeats and that I simply must adapt to change, whether I like it or not. Im grateful I can share others pain with them and attempt to offer a little comfort. I am most grateful today for Gods mercy and grace and that He allows me to improve, progress, and make my best efforts to be a productive, caring, loving, and compassionate human being. While I have flare-ups, I can feel Him removing anger, hatred, jealousy, and loathing from me on a daily basis. Finally, Im grateful that Im making great strides in becoming the man I always wanted to be! Each day Im grateful that I lose the delusion that Im something greater than I really am and accept that Im simply another fellow human being, sharing our time here on earth. Im grateful to be losing thoughts of greater than or less than and simply doing my best to be a good person. Heres wishing everyone a wonderful, safe, and blessed weekend! Terry
