I cant believe my boy is turning seven in a few hours, Im watching my boys grow up and its completely different from the way I was raised. I didnt know my mother at his age, I was exposed to a different life altogether and here I am »Mother to a Seven year old Warrior« and I did it all on my own #freestylin,I remember the first kick, rubbing that huge belly assisting my baby turn, packing the baby bag, I remember the first contraction started at 8pm 2nd of April 2007, the nerves of not knowing what happens next.The only person Ive always thought of was my Great Grand mother who knew all there was to know but I knew her spirit was present from day one and thats the only comfort I had. That was my first time in an ambulance (I swear) There were no water spills, I carried that pain for hours and hours, now at hospital(Sebokeng Hospital) watching other women do all sorts of crazy things, I remember a few of my own stances, growing impatient by the minute, nearly had an emergency C-section and I refused and only to give birth the next day(5pm-3rd April) the biggest baby in that ward weighing 4kg, the cutest little man was here. He was so beautiful and was worth all the drama there was and still to come. The magical part- I was completely clueless but motherly instincts rapidly knocked in and theyre still rolling in. The traveling from one hood to another with my baby on my back, the lunch breaks I gave up and still giving up all worth it. When someone says blood, sweat and tears I literally know what theyre talking about. I am proud mother and my boys are worth every sacrifice. The blood washes off eventually, sweat and tears dry. Ill always be the first to wish you a happy born day Sun. You were my first. You are my luck #Lesego
