I cant believe we never introduced ourselves before. Let this be the introductory thread. If youd like, tell us a little about yourself! Im Orion--Im one of the admins here. I fix computers for a living and my major in college is Cyber Security. My goal is to either be a self employed penetration tester, or create a cyber security company centered on hardening big business networks. If someone were to ask me what my religious affiliation is, I would say Christian...but many of my values and mindsets comes from pieces of other religions or philosophies such as Buddhism. I am an eternal erudite, and I believe that one should never stop learning--My motto is Every day learn something new, relearn something old. I believe in keeping an open mind and entertaining any idea that is put forward...but I also believe in empirical evidence. My entire high school career I was on the Speech and Debate team, and as such I enjoy a good logical socratic argument. I also believe heavily in science. I see no reason why science and spirituality need to be so separate or so hated by those who adhere to more bizzare lines of thinking. I know for a fact that science has not and may not be able to explain everything...but it does a damn good job with five nines of certainty (99.999%) of being able to tell you where/what something is or how fast/where its going. I also believe heavily in trust, honesty, and responsibility.
