I cant believe what I had just found out on the internet a while ago. According to my vessels itinerary, her previous port of call was Shanghai, China last Sept. 21st bound to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. She then sailed from her last port of call last Oct. 06th bound to Costa Rica with an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) on Nov. 01st via Panama Cannal. The office still cant confirm if we can join the vessel in Panama due to expensive coast for crew change. The vessel will stay at anchorage to take bunker fuel oil so there is an enough time to arrange crew change. China and Taiwan is a very convenient port for crew change and less expensive for crew change. Supposed to be we had enough time to arrange crew change earlier while the vessel was still in asia. We, the new crew were all ready to join the vessel 2-3 weeks ago. Were just waiting for the confirmation and final dispatch from the office. If we cant make it in Panama, for sure we have to wait again until the vessel return to asia for a month of time if we cant join in Costa Rica. I was wandering why this problem exist? To whom can we put the blame? Lord please give us more patience.....
