I cant even begin to describe how proud I am of the 3 teams (12 athletes) we had compete yesterday at the Red River Rumble. Of those 12 athletes, 2 of them had competed before. 2! The teams communicated very well, encouraged other teams if they finished before them, and helped continue to build this community that we have fallen so dearly in love with. Kairos Gold (John Joines, Lynn Haines, Angie Pope Sutherland, and Erica Dawn Dickinson), Off Constantly (Eric Dyer, Lance Haines, Hope Anderson Haines, and Krystal Gregory), and FRANtastic 4 (Kacee Dibler, Shawna Brecheen, Stephanie Feazle, and Stacy Dyer) brought everything they had, and laid it all on the line. FRANtastic 4 had a three way tie for 3rd place, Off Constantly came in 3rd, and Kairos Gold tied for 4th. For it being most everyones first time, I would say thats a win! As far as a coach is concerned, myself anyway, the placing didnt matter to me. Placing high is awesome and always a bonus! But watching our 3 teams grow together, communicate, strategize, work, and strengthen bonds, was what had me sticking my chest out. Everyone wanted to learn, wanted to improve, wanted to do better, wanted just one more rep, and that was what I loved seeing the most. Keep up the good work! Keep a level head and attitude, and lets see what we can do next! If I forgot to tag anyone, Im extremely sorry!
