I cant get over what a great performance ANGERME had with here. I am really excited to see how this group develops. ANGERME is the new name for S/mileage, now with three new members too (highly likely 1 or 2 members may leave this year... :( ) S/mileage has been probably one of H!Ps least supported/popular groups for a quite a while, but with the new name and members for this year, it seems like already they are catching on. Even though all H!P groups (Morning, C-ute, Berryz, Country Girls, a new unit that hasnt been named yet, and ANGERME) all performed, a lot of comments are talking about how great ANGERME was and Im really glad. I think recently (like in the past year) they have become a really great group but still arent getting attention. This bit of redesign might be exactly what they needed. The new members seem really on top of it and have great synergy with their seniors. Everyone has great energy, even Rina (who... seems to have a problem with that usually LOL), and the new song is great, very refreshing after all of the hardcoree EDM that weve been seeing from most H!P groups recently (and that S/mileage seemed to be drifting into as well). It seems like H!P might be restoring some of its former glory. Its been in a decline for a while now, had a decent but solid run with Mornings platinum era alongside a growing c-ute, but now C-ute has become one of the most popular groups in Japan and is very popular outside Japan now too. Morning has also gained a lot more popularity recently and has been hitting #1s again and making sales records again, hitting gold quickly on every single since 123. (Morning used to regularly get gold records/singles easily, and has in the past achieved 4 diamond records and 3 platinum records). There used to be TONS of groups in H!P all with unique sounds. For a while now, it has been mainly Morning and C-ute sporting an electronica sound. But with the revival of old HP group Country Girls, the addition of a new unit, somewhat new unit Juice=Juice which tends to have fresh and jazzy music, C-ute doing a variety of music now, ANGERME looking perhaps to get to more cute songs, and Morning to continue the EDM/club music, it seems like we could really be moving into another golden era for H!P. Of course not right now... this is just an opportunity to do so at this point. I would love to see H!P evolve into a lot more diversity again, as well as see some soloists produced again. ANYWAY thats a lot of hope and speculation from seeing a single performance lmfao. But hey it is worth dreaming about. Theres been a bit of forward momentum in H!P for a while, but with graduation of Sayumi Michishige at the end of 2014, all of H!P took a huge hit. So this next year will be a very definitive year for H!P. (If this doesnt start at 25:28, you can skip to that part to see ANGERME lol. The brand new units performing for the first time are the new Country Girls at 12:04 and the unnamed new unit at 2:48. Juice=Juice is at 19:17, Morning at 36:00, and c-ute at 45:53. Berryz is at 52:47 who will be disbanding soon. The final segment is Yajima Maimi, leader of HP and c-ute, telling the new unit girls theyve been selected.)
