I cant help but feel initially if the Grand Jury mechanism was exploited here. Zero transparency. In a situation that usually requires just a couple of witnesses to set out basic facts, they call 60 witnesses. Its as if the prosecutors put on the role of defense counsel. Its as if they expected the conflicting witnesses accounts to wash away any cohesive narrative. I wasnt there during deliberations and (neither were any of us) but you dont have to prove the case for an indictment. You just need to make a showing that a crime was committed. And it looks like effort was made to make that near impossible. Im an officer of the Court, I took an oath to uphold and defend this Nations laws and its Constitution. I believe in the inherent potential of our system for what it can be...but I gotta call Bullshit here.
