I cant resist the urge to contribute to the rifle debate.Our clergy now want guns,i ask why not hire security and increase VAT levy in tithe and offerings,after all churches are now business ventures that dont require knowledge in accounts and business management.Thats the first question that i asked myself,then i dug deeper!!! My wee knowledge in bible studies tells me faith as little as a mustard seed can move a mountains(can neutralize boms and lock guns)..Jesus said we turn the other cheek if our left one is hit,the good book also talks about trending on snakes and scorpions and we wont be harmed.We are also to love our enemies and pray for them.This makes the sin/crime of murder as encapsulated in exodus 20 one without a defence,let alone self defence.We should not retaliate or throw a salvo to our assailants.We should have faith. So is our church running low on faith.Are we that shallow as to trust man and his rifle more than God?....so my verdict on the rifle debate is a resounding NO!!...
