I cant think of a much better time than now, on this cold, dark and rainy night in the city to create and share this slideshow. Sirens and activity are high and loud. There’s been a frequency, a ‘buzz’ to the city that is obvious and palpable, since the decision not to indict the officer from Staten Island. It’s surprisingly not scary but it was at first. Im never comfortable in crowds and especially chanting marching mobs. But this is New York City, not Furgerson as most New Yorkers happily and clearly share with each other. It’s cool how we all know it. I got into my elevator with an unknown neighbor last night and she said to me, “what’s all the noise and commotion about?” I said, You don’t know? Really? Eric Garner? Michael Brown? Haven’t you followed any of this? She obviously had no clue about any of this, which is hard to imagine. As the elevator door started to close I said, “You really should put on CNN”. She nodded her head. Chris Rock said yesterday that we need comedy now more than ever and I say we also need performances like this one. Performed by the amazing and lovely Jules Cazedessus with one of New Yorks Finest. I see this officer at the Dance Parade every year and he is and was a good sport.
