I cant understand, what it is that makes the public services such an easy target for politicians to attack! Oh wait a minute though! Maybe its the filthy luker, spondoolics, cash! That they dont generate. You know the stuff that bankers managed to bring the nation to its knees over, remember the austere times that we are all in together. Well that is unless your a politician or outside of the public sector. Which is made up of people, whose sole intention is to grab, grab, grab and trample on any that get in their way. Oops sorry! I got that around the wrong way! That would be the Bankers and Politicians! Today is the anniversary of 7/7 do you remember? when the TV news was full of wall to wall coverage, of the Bankers and Politicians entering the London Tube stations, with no idea of the carnage they were about to face, with no thought for their own safety, only the safety of those poor innocents that were involved. Then later, attending to all those involved on the bus, ripped apart by another terrorist suicide attack. Oops! My mistake again, of course it wasnt the fat cats or the politicians, it was the greedy selfish, public servants. Initially the Police, Fire and Ambulance, working their way through those beyond help, literally blown to pieces, then the dedicated professional skills required in extricating those so badly injured, that although alive their lives would never be the same again, giving and allowing dignity to be given to those beyond help. Then the Doctors and Nurses involved in saving life, repairing limbs that were shattered and broken, repairing trauma injuries, the life saving but disabling necessary amputations. As these scenes unfolded on the TV, nobody thought it was strange to see these Emergency Services in attendance, in fact its expected if theres an Emergency they will be there. Yes they were there its there job, but when they returned to wherever they were based in London and took off their uniforms they were civilians again, with Families, Mortgages bills to pay. They will live with those scenes forever and whatever else they experience in their careers. Yet they are easy targets and you attack them! Do you know what is even stranger? Not one of these greedy, selfish emergency service personnel, was involved in an expenses scandal, had awarded themselves 11 per cent pay rises all be it by dubious committees, ring fenced pensions or lost any files that pointed fingers at those representing the establishment, who were involved in alleged child abuse. I was a Firefighter for 32 years and in that time, I saw the ambulance service go from effectively stretcher bearers who could use a bandage, to the most highly trained professional Paramedics, where their training and life saving skills, fell just short of a Doctors when witnessed at the coal face. Yet they are easy targets and you attack them! I saw the police roll change into one of command and control, they are less easy targets but still you attack them. Although they appeared to be to willing and easily used as the governments private army, during the Miners Strike! The legislation that prevents them from striking, once again gives power to your elbow! This makes them easy targets and you attack them! I have seen the Nursing profession advance, to where degrees are now a necessary part of qualification. You take advantage of their dilemma when it comes to the withdrawing of their labour. They are Nurses, its in the name they Nurse the sick back to health and give dignity to those beyond help. Yet they are easy targets and you attack them! The Firefighters skills, now range from their bread and butter role of Firefighting, to specialist teams for Urban Search And Rescue, these personnel and their skills often used abroad, bringing praise to their Brigades and thanks to you politicians. There are specialist teams whose skills involve the rescue from heights, Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Teams. Fast Water rescue Teams, all are Firefighters not superman or woman. I hate the fact that you will continue to attack with your spin and then be the first to administer gratuitous back slapping. You even know, that should anything like this occur during any period of strike action, that the Firefighters will attend, therefore giving you comfort in the knowledge that your inefficient deceptive, stand outside and squirt water cover, provided by so called contingency crews will give you the ammunition to continue your attacks! You have the most professional Firefighters in the world. Their sole purpose to to serve the public. This makes them Public servants, not Bankers or belonging to any other, privately owned money generating group. This makes them easy targets and still you attack them!! Shame on you!! RIP. to all those that lost their lives on 7/7 you will not be forgotten!
