I cant wait for the day that Social Media Marketing is recognized as something permanent in regards to marketing and not a quick fix or expected to bring instantaneous success. Its long term and ongoing; ever evolving and only is effective with a solid brand/product and marketing campaign behind it. I give it three or four more years before this transition is understood. Still too premature. I also wish that people would understand in relation to Social Media that likes= nothing. Quality over quantity. 5 million people following a brand means nothing if majority are following for the wrong reasons. 50 solid followers can yield you more business than you could imagine if they are brand advocates/loyal versus 5 million wrong ones. Perception for most is way off!
