I come across the privilege of working with clients who have young children and always encourage them to have the children join in on the training not only for the educational aspect of the training but also to establish themselves above the canine in the hierarchy of the pack. This is especially important when the dog in training is a young pup such as this 5 month old German Shepherd Dog (GSD) already weighing in at nearly 60 pounds. Gunner is a highly energetic and rambunctious GSD who finds it difficult not to chase and play with this young 6 year old.
