I confess my share of backsliding and am certainly not considered a holy man by any stretch of the imagination but if we are going to claim to be a Christian nation then lets start making these prayers For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God.... I ask that my sins be forgiven that my prayers might be heard before the Lord for Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. 2 Chronicles 7: (KJV) 14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 1 Timothy 2: (KJV) 1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
