I connected my PS3 controller to my Nexus 5 by OTG cable and it works with free flight 3 with no other mods, so no root required or any other apps, so far the on screen controls disappear like the shield, left stick controls rotation/altitude, right stick controls movement, X button is take off/land, and circle takes photos if in photo mode. I dont think there is any way for mapping buttons unless you get the sixaxis app and pressing the other buttons did nothing for me. So this is a easy way to control the bebop, all you need is a OTG cable and a PS3 controller, Id assume this should work on most android devices that support OTG.
